Whether you fly RC aircraft or not, this is pretty cool. 12 engines to synchronize & fuel lines to plumb for each. Just starting it has to be an effort requiring 3 or 4 helpers.

Then you'd need to watch flight time closely so you could land before fuel ran out.

I've managed to attend a national RC meet here in Dayton at the USAF Museum and they are really something to behold. They have regional stuff meet here as well and those are nice too. Those jets run a few thousand a piece.

12 engines on one plane is a first see for me. Since I swear I saw a vapor stream trailing the large plane, I would imagine those engines weren't electric. The bigger RC planes start handling much like the real thing and those are pure art to watch. Some mount chain saw engines, but the 12 little ones didn't power such a "hand tool".

I watched the crash video after the one you posted. I've seen a F-86 Sabre jet RC lose orientation and hit the ground at 90 degrees at full throttle. Sad, very sad. $1000 at least totaled.

Thanks for posting the video. The fuel lines are likely plastic, so plumbing isn't so bad. They usually start those engines with a power hand drill, so I think their hands were safe.

Now, now, now. When will you ever visit the USAF Museum here in Dayton? The real thing is even more impressive.

Looks like 4cycle 90's, with on board glow.....very reliable, and powerful......he could loose 1/2 those engines and it would still be fly able I would say.....I like the 4cycles motors.....sound is nice....I have a 30 and. 1.2 ,,,,,,, the 1/2 scale cub has the 1.2 in it, and will almost climb straight up.....it's stored at moms, as I no longer fly them......but, sure was fun fun back in the day.....I used a leather glove to "prop" it, and start her.....VERY careful of that 16" prop!

You WILL respect those black fiberglass props......

With the smoke I don't think they are 4 cycle.
