It's been pretty chilly here. Weather guesser said -10 this morning, but it was a measley +4 when I fired up the truck.

Still 15" of snow which is belly deep to a small bloodhound so no hikes in the buttes for a while. That & I don't fancy getting stuck that far from town.

Been dumping out more birdseed. Them & the squills need plenty of calories to survive the cold.

Somebody remind me about global warming - we could use some of that. al gore is an idiot. SW

i think the high today was -6 the low last night was-17 and tonight we should see -24 , the sun was out so it looked OK from the inside looking out the window but it was breezy so wind chills are much lower , we could have used a little more snow cover , there are going to be water line and sewer issues in the next few week ,

we are making ice for those wanting to fish - i know a few that are out there , the river is frozen in the back yard but i dont think id try crossing it - current is swift in my back yard so it erodes the bottom of the ice sheet heavily , it was open water a week ago ,

its going to be a cold new years and into the next week by the predictions , but i seldom put too much stock in those until they come to pass , hope you all have a happy one and enjoy it , life is good
