Yesterday's Weapons Forums

Came home from work yesterday afternoon and found about eight fire fighting rigs scattered all round my neighbors property on both sides of mine. Engines, tankers, trucks, brush rigs, the whole gammet.

Brush fire started at the top of the hill behind my place and burned down towards me. Almost got my neighbors timber and a bunch of old oaks. They got it stopped about 200 yards from my barn and pasture.

No word yet on how many acres or how it started but one of the firemen said it probably someone illegally burning trash.

It was all over by the time I got home. Saw it burn the same place about four years ago. That time burned up about ten acres of Christmas trees and when it reached all the scotch broom on top the hill it took off like a freight train. Sounded like one too. Very disturbing sound. Did not reach as far down hill that time. Another idiot burning when it was too windy.
