I'm thankful I don't have to be on a stinking train anymore!

Older daughter is fixing dinner so I will load up there. I likes me some turkey! And gravy!! :bigrin:

I heard preppy daughters talking about black fry day sales. None of that for me! I might look around for cyber Monday deals like plastic model kits. I used to make a few back in the day & was thinking about trying a diorama if it won't cost too much. SW

a very good Thanksgiving back at you NebrHogger. I'll be putting on the feedbag at my baby sisters house. Fortunately, the only Black Friday activities my sisters and nieces are planning is staying in and thinking about going to the mall.

i had a very nice experience at my BIL&SILs home as is always the case , its a bit or a drive but not so as anyone might object , not out of the equal distance of any to drive and well beyond the capacity of all when it comes to food , im going on record as have having all i could consume plus just enough to be well beyond my fill , im still just a bit uncomfortable if truth be known ,

and i get to do it again after work tomorrow - they know no bounds these relatives of mine , by marriage of coarse as my blood relatives would have quit a couple days ago , perhaps before if the effort overtook them , we are catholic in my family - i married catholic so it has nothing to do with religion - it has everything to do with the Bohemians i married into , they are wonderful people just a bit more food motivated than my Scottish and German grand parents ,

when i was married to my Norwegian wives i learned much of foods but not exactly the same things i have learned from my Czech family , it is good to experience diverse cultures , just sayin ,

Glad you all had a great time.
I had a 10 minute drive to my brothers house.
I had picked up my 91 year old Mom. Brother had his 3 children there with their spouses and kids.
Maybe 15 total.
Noisy, but as Mike said, more food than anyone could handle. Four hours later took mom home.
Next day another brother came into town and will stay 3 days with Mom and they will make the visiting rounds. So Thanksgiving was a 4 day thing here.

I am glad to get a 4 day vacation....this is the only time each year I pull seniority at my work....our anniversary is this weekend, 26yr :rotflma: .....so no phone calls or on call!!!! :jmp:
So far it's been good, perfect weather here in lower Tn, so the misses and I have relaxed.....
I got the Lexington rifles parts back from Everett, and he did a super job!!!!...so, now I need to do some gutter cleaning, and yard raking type stuff.....I do have a dozen horns that could be worked on....and my buddy just asked me about a pistol project... :bigrin:

So tomtom and I will stay outta trouble, unless them backyard desperadoes show up.......or Gary Busey.... :crzy:

I did much the same thing years ago Steve. In fact I sent the few I still had home with the Son today. We built together and did it on the cheap as much as possible. What sort of diorama are you going to try?

I'm considering a diorama with a Panzer III getting fuel from a captured STZ-5. (A full track truck that was useful in the muddy conditions of Russia.)

I'll check around for decent prices later this morning. SW

AHHH...cool!...I made one once, mechanics were working on a Corsair, in the south pacific, made the workbench outta balsa, and the tarp to shade them outta rite dye colored tissue, sand from the RR stuff at hobby lobby.......gave it to the bro in law.....his cat decided to roll on it one day......and she was FAT kitty.... :kap: :kap: :kap:
