Thanks guys. I'm a little late in seeing this ... like 2 weeks late!

Had some fun recently: I was going to give my sporterized Lee Enfield to my son, but figured I should burn off the reloaded ammo I had. The 125gr bullets actually grouped quite nicely, but the 174's were amazing! About a 2" group. I know that doesn't sound so marvelous, but it was a one hole group. . . . . Every friggin' one went in sideways! Figured out afterwards that I had probably used .308" bullets instead of .311". The pointer on my cheap plastic calipers is so wide it probably covers about 5/1000ths of the scale. So easy to mis-read 3/1000ths.
I reloaded with some known good 174's and watched that group open up to about 8", but at least they were all round holes rather than bullet profiles.

I'm working on making a walnut copy of the plastic stock on my Remington 597 .22 and then give it to my daughter for Christmas. I'll thin it down a bit but keep the general profile. Just not a fan of the plastic stocks.
