Yesterday's Weapons Forums

Had to say goodbye to my buddy Fred last week. He was over 15 years old. His kidneys had quit functioning and he held on for over a year. He was still loosing weight and I had to make that decision. I had him cremated and I picked up his remains this morning.

It's damn tough. I feel for you. SW

I don't like losing cats. Lost cinny at 21- which is about 98 in cat years, almost 10 years ago. Wife still talks about him.... Severe rheumatoid arthritis and renal failure. Vet said there was only one fair thing to do for him, so we went ahead with it. He's buried just outside one my favorite grouse haunts, up by the Whitemouth R.

Sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel. Had to do the same thing for my buddy Roxy the 24th of April. Her hind quarters were really bad with arthritis, she went deaf in Nov. and had lost about 30-35 pounds since that. She was a 12-13 year old Akita rescue. The old house sure is empty. Sorry to ramble.

also sorry for your loss , i have friends here that have gone thru it this past year and some who are still fighting thru it , you never really realise the importance in your life till its gone - hug your wife and kids , and pet your pet , give them that extra treat it wont kill them but you might remember how much it meant that day , all too soon gone

It is never easy to say good by to a pet. We had to put down our Rocky 5 years ago and the wife went all out for him.

Sorry to hear this....we also have lost our little friends....I just try to remember the good times we had together.....and pray we will.met again!
