Wifey & older daughter scheduled one for today & somebody who looks a lot like me got to help set up... also sell and keep track of money.
It amazes me how people will peel out cash for outright junk! Stuff I was sure would get an all expenses paid trip to the dumpster sold in the 1st 30 minutes.
Creeper nerd guy and later a girl nerd bought all the vintage electronics like an old Nintendo, Nintendo games, VCR player, VHS tapes, Motorola bag phone, etc & so forth. Which got us into the profit right away.
I had some BP guns and antique rifles which generated no interest... didn't bother me at all.
Had fun people watching - saw some friends who stopped just to shoot then breeze - and when it was over, I only had about 1/3 of a pickup load going to the dumpster.
Hoarder lady down the street can grin widely while she dives in for the treasures. If I knew when she was going to do that, I'd try for a pic of just her feet sticking out of the dumpster. She really does that!
Sounds like part of the proceeds will buy take out Chinese food for supper. Works for me!
