After me & the mutt went out to leave footprints in the buttes, I cruised around to see how bad the shopping stupidity was. Maynards was insane. Shoppers had a 3 block hike to the front door. No room at all left in the parking lot. I don't want to think about what a zoo it was inside.

Target & Wally weren't *quite* as bad but you still couldn't PAY me to go there.

Not really a rant - it's just a sad commentary on how commercial Christmas has become. It's almost like 'if you don't spend a ton of $ on presents, you're a loser'. I guess that's what I am then.

I'll get a game we can play at the table with the grandkids. My kids liked the Mousetrap game. They didn't play the game per the rules - just built the mousetrap right away & had fun with that. But it was something everybody could do together.

I might cruise a few sites tomorrow for deals. Puma knives were half price last year - might check those or look for a cheep drop in AR trigger.

My main plan for the day is to see if I can remember how to make gravy. A recipe? Nah! Those stifle creativity!

Then get creative with leftovers! Turkey & noodles - turkey soup - turk burritos... Life is good! (but not shopping) SW

May be short funded this year. Our performance bonus payout at work got changed to the end of Feb from mid Dec.

Pulled a bit of overtime, and hopefully it's going to be enough. We shall see...

Traditionally I leave it all until the day before Christmas eve, and usually find some decent price breaks.

If we get a store bought bird and a tree up this year, we'll be doing good...

If you want a nice AR trigger, not a 1 piece drop in, but a 2 piece, and 2 stages with about a 4lb pull that breaks like glass, LaRue has their MBT2s triggers for only $87 through Christmas. I need to order me a couple at that price! That would bring my count up to 6. I already have them in all of my 6.5 Grendel rifles/pistols, and one in a 6mm-223 (6 X 45) wildcat
