Thanks guys :D
My email spam checker must be on the fritz again. I only found this as I happened to log on today with a Baby Nambu question and figured as long as I'm on I might as well see what's shakin'.

I managed to sell one (yes ONE) of my accumulation of rifles to thin the herd a bit, but then went ahead and got three (THREE!) handguns. One step forward and three steps back.

Got a Sportowy just to see if it could be modified to a straight .22 instead of using the .22 inserts. Probably yes, but not easily.

Got a Norinco Model 54 Tokarev copy so I'd have a spare barrel to sleeve down to 28 cal. Only to find it appears the original owner only opened the box to take the spare magazine. The damn thing is spotless and looks as if it has never been fired. So now I have to decide if I want a spare barrel and a perfectly good parts gun with no barrel, or do I keep it intact and keep looking for a spare barrel elsewhere. AARG!

Then the prize was an 'Unknown Belgian' .44-40 revolver with "Frontier" stamped on the top, and with some flaking chrome. I thought I could play with it and if it was as much fun as I thought, then I could decide whether or not to get the flaking chrome redone. Turned out to be a revolver shaped puddle of chrome! And the 'Frontier' was a tiny font and crooked, and so chromed the lettering was half filled!

My son has wanted a 'Frontier' revolver (1873?) in .44-40 for some time. This ain't it :-?

So another year older but no wiser :)
