Post subject:  Prayers for my family please

My mother passed away yesterday. My sisters were both here. Have been with home hospice for nearly 2 months. My days were long doing laundry, changing bed, and helping her clean up and put on dry clothing. Pull ups only hold so much. Hospice folks are angels on earth, they helped guide me through this rough road.
I am still having a rough time of it. Mom and I have been roommates for 28 years. I feel like a BB in a barrel rolling down hill. The thought of learning to live alone again is a little scary.
Having a celebration diner tomorrow night at the local Chinese place and I am gonna have some egg foo yong for Mom.
Going to Wisconsin this weekend to visit some cousins and just get out of this house for a couple of days.

Prayers coming Bud. You hang in. It will be rough at first, but will gradually get better. Take some time and depressurize.
Where in WI.?

Was going to return to work this morning. Got dressed and ready but lost it. I have a Dr appointment tomorrow seeking anxiety meds. Some good days some bad.
Tried a therapy kitten last Monday, picked out at shelter. He was neutered on Tuesday, Picked him up on Wednesday. Had a friend take me Thursday afternoon to pick up Mom's ashes and later that night I had to run Orville to all night Vet clinic. Little guy had pneumonia, and he didn't make it.
Shelter waived adoption fee and I brought home little Blanche, took her to the vet for a full checkup. She is very healthy.
Started grief counseling on Friday afternoon, will be going for next 7 weeks.

Feels like a big piece of me is missing right now.

Attachments:
File comment: Blanche was my Mom's grandmother's name. I did not know this until last week when going through some of Mom's trunks. Orville was her Grandpa's name.

I'm not very good with comforting words, but I think the kitten will be good for you. I will say another prayer for your peace of mind. SW

i too have difficulty expressing my empathy , its not that i am lacking , its more that i tend to sympathy pains and have difficulty separating the two , the words escape me all too often , i trust the kitten will give you some solace , very sorry to hear the first did not make it , i have to think it compounded the loss , put your faith to the future and look for better times ,

time does have a way of relieving the loss and leaving you with the fond memories , those are what you want to move forward with , they are what your mom would want you to remember ,

You going the right way to get some healing....a kind little face waiting in the house really helps, and they will cheer you up by doing crazy stuff.....getting your face at 4oclock purring, sitting and staring while you eat.....
Sorry about the first lil fellow....he needed someone with him to travel to the rainbow bridge, really glad you got another....those little folks need love too......
I still got tomtom....he's still a pickle, stays in the workshop....gets canned food, heat pads to sleep on....lives the big life!!!
