Thanks guys I appreciate the well wishes.
Me and the woof head spent the day in the shop working on my retirement rifle. Long way to go, they left ample wood to remove about a 1/4" all around.
Oh yeah the inletting was messed up also. I am seriously considering trapping a beaver in the creek and putting him to work.
.22-250 AI, Shaw barrel, rifle basics trigger, Richards micro fit stock, using a like new Stevens 200.
I built one similar so years ago with a brand new Stevens 200, .243 AI, shoots 3/8" 5 shot groups at 100, if I do my part.
Once again thanks for the birthday wishes, it was the big 70 today.
Ron

Mike how do we ship a beaver to here, I think I may need his services on this stock.
I'll try and post some pictures.
Just a word of advice Richards Microfit stocks suck. Used them on and off over the years and they were ok, now they aren't worth a hoot.

On the trees you don't want smear a slurry of salt and water, make like a paste about 1 foot up the tree. He'll find it and start knawing .
