I took baby bloodhound out for our morning short hike - a few deer were on the trail giving us a stoopid look so flop ears showed them the short way to the next county. Also howled at some turkeys.

Back to town & drove around to see who was actually open. Here, it was just mini mart & McRonalds. I filled up with gas but didn't go in. Neither was anybody else - just a bored kid at the counter.

Since the Hiway diner & coffee places were closed, all the old farts were pounding down coffee in McRonalds. Next town over, it was just a C-store & walgreens open.

Back to the house & stuffed a big turk in the oven. Company will soon be here so I better go scrape my whiskers off.

Merry Christmas, friends!! SW

I hadn't planned to talk about gifts, but I got a very unusual one - older daughter got me a still! You know... like for distilling water wifey can use in her iron or carpet steamer! ;)

"Other stuff?" I don't know nuttin' about that. That's my story & I'm sticking to it. :rotflma:  SW

pretty cool one can never have enough distilled water in the house - and more entertaining to make your own ;)

Quiet here. Passed out with-in ten minutes of finishing Christmas dinner, which is about par for the course for me. Man, that's heavy food.

The one day of the year around here mice can be heard farting....

Regards,

Doc Sharptail
