These guys don't have it! This fellow is firing the main gun of a T-34 by lanyard… outside the tank! This is from the civil war in Yemen. From various places, one side got a lot of leftover, outdated equipment - like the T-34 shown.

No word what caliber it is, but the rebels make and reload ammo for it. Apparently, a few guns burst inside the tank from defective rounds. Well, the war must go on so they rigged a lanyard & ran it through the pistol port.

Kind of a laborious process - aim and load the main gun - then hop outside to yank on the lanyard. *Pow!* Then back inside to extract the empty and repeat the drill.

Maybe they should switch to black powder! SW

LOL! That reminds me of me pumping up and firing my first few home built pre-charged pneumatic air rifles. The first was based off an old crosman bulk CO-2 rifle. Sandwiched the tube and barrel between burlap, plywood and old car tires to weigh down the whole works. Pressures were relatively low at first, around 1250 psi. I was nervous messing around with un-pinned valves. Fortunately, no incidents, and I learned a lot about valve construction and strength...
