Ennio Morricone composed the music for The Good, the Bad the Ugly.

He died at age 91 Monday in Rome, Italy.

I'm not sure if the Danish national orchestra played for the movie, but I was amazed to see a woman making sounds I thought were done by a synthesizer.

The G, B & U is one of my all time fave movies. I like to watch for small details - like Angel Eyes enjoying a dish of stewed jalapenos with the guy he's come to whack. And he does that by shooting from under the table - through the bowl of jalapenos.

Lee van Cleef made a great villain. SW

Watched the first TV broadcast of this when I was about 14 I think. Dad went out and bought a single six brand new a few days later. It was one of the pre-transfer bar versions and very accurate with th long rifle cylinder.

Lot of eye language in this movie . Tuco was the best at expressing it. Music may not have been classical at the time , but it sure is now.

Doc Sharptail

:jmp: cool!!!.......
Couple things I found out about the movie.....seems tuco really did ride that horse outta town WITH his hands tied behind his back.....wild ride....and he said the house ran about a mile before stopping on its own!
And lee van fleet cut the tip of that finger off you see in the closeups.....making his daughter a treehouse!
The ending shootout is my favorite part.....

And my wife likes tuco's phrase.."if your gonna shoot, shoot! Don't talk" 8-)

Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef on set during a break in filming. Looks like they're getting ready for the graveyard scene.
