Late yesterday afternoon I went for a walk with my nurse friend. She is a hospice nurse and has to be tested frequently. One of the nursing homes she goes to to care for patience had a positive test recently. She called me at 11:30 last night to let me know that they had just called her to tell her that she had tested positive. So I am now home without any pay unless the test I go take on Monday comes back positive. Not sure how long I have to wait if it comes back negative.

Looks like I'm out of the work loop more or less permanently.
There are a lot of people out of work here.
With my age and hearing loss, I'm not likely going to find anything before 65.
We are going to have to do some belt tightening around here. Current income is vastly reduced from what I was getting working...

Hoping it turns out o.k. for FR-8.

Regards,

Doc Sharptail

Test came back "non detected" so now just have to complete the quarantine period.

happy to hear that - why still quarantined ?

kid turned up normal and we are not changing any further plans ,

hoping all goes well in the election so we can get back to normal , ive not got any doubt of outcome in my mind but if you listen to the news it would seem hopeless - so i dont listen to the MSM anymore ,

im still working part time seasonal but im permanently retired from normal job , i wont need to tap retirement till december , which was my intent this year anyway , over 70 and ready to retire now but had hoped for the job to continue to that point to have a little more cushion , i rolled my 401k to my investments last month - not where i had intended it to be but it had recovered everything lost early this year , just did not get that next 0 months of input i was planning on , i think all will be OK but looking into the unknown is always a bit stressful ,

The virus can take up to 14 days to incubate in your system so even tho I tested negative it could still be hiding in my system. If no symptoms after quarantine all is good. Testing in the earlier stages I guess gives them a head start on treatment before you get the worst symptoms.
