Yesterday's Weapons Forums

It's a very nice day here, so I called out & reserved an hour at the pistol part of the state range. Took a 44-40 revolver, a CZ-27 and my carry P-7.

44-40 shoots low & left but puts holes in somewhat of a group. CZ-27 was a complete waste of time even using an original magazine & factory ammo. Shot 5 times - had 4 jambs.

I still can't say enough good about my P-7. Can't think of any other gat I'd rather carry concealed.

Shot for most of an hour. While packing my kit to leave, a big hawk swooped down and grabbed a snake. Not a rattler - probably a small bull snake. 'ZIP!' off to a tree for lunch it went!

Game & Parks built a gun range at the Wildcat Hills rec area. Not that much to do for recreating but a little grilling or turk hunting.

Mostly 44-40 groups. The CZ shot all over the place. Might have been due to me not being pleased about the jambs.

You may be doing alright with the 44-40.
Those S/A plain irons can be hard for eyes like mine to shoot with.
I really like the adj. rear that Ruger came out with....
