They showed up a lot later than usual this year, and not as many. While quite graceful in flight, up close, there ain't much uglier than a buzzard. SW |

old navy might be right , but often attracted to something dead in that search for food , you can always tell them in flight the wing tips look like fingers grasping for air , they are quite graceful when soaring |

not sure if i ever mentioned it - once a lifetime ago when fishing in canada we cut into the lea of an island to avoid a bit of wind and rain , must have been a dozen golden eagles on a deer carcass on the point , all at once they were flying right over us - about 10 feet above , that was a sight , a bit scary in that they were a lot bigger than they look at yards away than feet away , they are majestic when seen up close , much bigger than the bald eagles we het around here and those are big up close too |
