I bet that hawk was a Rollei snob, too! Probably not as practical for a serviceman as the folders shown above.

There was an ad for Astra typewriters, but it was a trifle shabby to photograph. SW

Some very big names there.

The rangefinder Bessa 6 x 9 was one heck of a camera for it's time.
The others were no less popular with the Vito 35mm and Bessa 6 X 6 almost the same sizes.

Some where in my books I have a manual for a late 50's-early 60's Bessamatic 35mm slr with leaf shutter.

I was not aware that Mauser was in the precision measuring tool business.

Hensoldt was much better known here for their rifle scopes. Their binocular line is a new one (however un-surprising) on me....

The Rollei snobbery I get. Just bear in mind the cord model was a lesser priced version aimed at the skilled amateur set. Today, the Cords and Flexes are still over priced for what they are.

The epitome of camera snobbery is still entrenched in Leica- no matter how much it was eclipsed by the Nikon F and F2.
