Yesterday's Weapons Forums

I see that most of these forums are intended to be moderated by him but not only have I only seen his name once or twice outside of the "Moderators: Bitter clinger" piece of text at the top of every forum, but his profile doesn't have many posted messages either.

Can someone who's been around longer explain this to me? Thank yah

Matt was participating frequently a couple years back. Then he got on a collecting quest and devoted all his energy into expanding his collection. He scored some pretty obscure items, too!

More recently, he met a young cutie, and I think that's your big clue why his posts have dropped off dramatically.

We're still friends and exchange mail frequently. I've met him in person and he's a great guy. Apparently, the cutie thinks so, too! SW

A few OGs lurk in weekly or so - too many others are gone to their reward. Others like Matt (and fr8dude) have a new significant other. A couple OGs have compelling family drama... it's a long list. SW

Yeah, I can understand moving on with life after the forums, even if you've been here for a few years or more. It's been that way with me and a few Discord servers, as I've been using the platform since it initially released back in 2015.

The whole internet seems to go through this cycle every 5 to 8 years, I'm curious to see how this changes as a lot of us who've grown up with the internet also grow older with it. Things that we use normally now will certainly become irrelevant as a newer, bigger thing pops up and takes it's place- AOL and Yahoo are textbook examples of this phenomenon.

me too mario , ive got some stuff im going to try to post this winter i thiunk you might find interesting - lots of navy stuff , a good bit your era , some before and i suspect some after ,

to OP and others , im an original here and i too migrated from sites that no longer exist [skennertons enfield most prominent] and some that are not gone but i lost interest in ,
there have been an interesting bunch of characters here - quite a few i miss , there were even some "get togethers" back in the past when a lot of us were younger , but i always had trouble getting off work to travel to them , now i have the time but im getting too old to want to do some things ,
