Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

It was a non-event again. Besides the grandkids, we had exactly 4 show up for the payoff. Which leaves us with a pile of leftover candy I really didn't want.

I'm not seeing much for pranks, either. Used to be windows would get soaped or waxed. Draping a teacher's house with TP was big, too. The younger of my sisters even burned tires on a state road bridge.

But it was a small village - no traffic - nobody even bothered to call the cops. (Baby Sis was rather a wild child back in the day.)

Grandkids just showed back up with enough loot to keep a good sugar buzz going for the rest of the year.

I knew I bought too much. :-? SW

Used to be a kids thing here.
Now it seems like the "adults" have mostly taken it over.
I didn't see anyone out trick or treating at the normal 6-7 p.m. times.
Wife got a box of candy for great grandkids that did not show up.
It is slowly being eaten anyways

Regards,

Doc Sharptail

we used to participate,
never had kids, but the wife would dress up and hand out candy,
I would find somewhere else to be in the house,

past couple we have ditched it, last night was dinner at a local Italian place, and a stop at walmart to pick up a few things (Same parking lot) and home by the time it all wrapped up,

most of the kids in our neighborhood are big, or grown, and the kids that get imported (mini van pulls up, kids get out, hit a few houses and back in the van,,) are unknown to us
