in the gun biz and carry almost every single day,
if I don't have one on me, one is with in reach when I am at my shop,


had a conversation with a customer's daughter today,
she is from Florida, her Dad (and I) live and work here in VA,

she commented she carries every day, for lots of reasons, most importantly it makes her more aware ( for what ever reason ) of her surroundings,

she was encouraging he dad to buy a smaller concealable pistol, he wanted a full size Colt 1911,

as an enabler, I suggested both

ill be honest and say [admit] i started out carrying a larger hand gun then went bigger and eventually went smaller - the progression was :

S&W M39 9mm [because it was a SA/DA that allowed me to decock]
S&W M59 9mm [for the higher capacity - same action]
Kimber 1911 45 full size [i carried cocked and locked - was shooting it regularly]
Kimber compact 1911 45 [same holster smaller gun]
Springfield EMP 9mm [ similar size less weight]
Colt mk IV series 80 380 [smaller and lighter] this one is backup in the car when i travel and most days
Sig 938 legion 9mm [same size back to std cal] cocked locked and ready to rock and roll in a nice quick holster , easily concealed , mostly no one knows ,

i still have all of these , with their holsters ,

NAA derringer 22LR, all the time. Airweight Chief in my briefcase all the time. S&W Model 66 in my desk drawer.

ive got one of those little NAA in 22 mag , mine is color case and is part of my cowboy gear but ive carried it as a backup when i thought two was better than one , only a couple occasions but its a nice little add on ,
