I'm not sure if this movie post goes here Yockey, it might be kind of fun to have a book and movie forum. Anyway, just bought The Pathfinder on DVD today, had some time , so I watched it. I really enjoyed it, kind of a cross between Dances with wolves and The 13th Warrior. It is about a Viking attempt to colonize America 400 years before Columbus got here. On one voyage a ship was wrecked, and a viking boy was adopted by the "Dawn People". 15 years later, another ship comes to lay waste to the people, and the white boy does his best to protect his adopted people. Lots of action, good story and visuals. Very violent, and the Northmen are definitely the bad guys. A lot like 13th Warrior. About 1:46 long, good escapist fare, if you like that sort of thing.

I never saw any previews, and had no idea what to expect. I am exceptionally hard to please, movie wise, but I sure enjoyed it. The violence was a bit overboard, but c'mon, how could pre-Colombian Vikings fighting with native Americans not be a good premise for a movie? Did you like the 13th Warrior , Brian? Thanks for the tip on the book, ET2SS, I never knew there was a book , by Michael Crichton no less! I will look for it, I guess I'm into Vikings lately!! Except the Minnesota kind! GO FUDGE!!!!!!!! I have Shooter on my agenda next, or the 300. My buddy thought 300 was cartoonish, and unbelievable, I can't say I liked Sin City, which I think was made by Frank Miller also.
