Everything is late this year. That one is a female, and should have been up in the big lake spawning over a gravel bar. Fish bled heavily- would have died on release. I don't like keeping egg bearers like this. It fed six of us. They actually make better eaters a bit smaller than that. I like's 'em 2-3 lbs myself, for taste. Kind of pining for venison. i agree - everything is 3-4 weeks behind schedule , what a year , saw a fawn the other day that was no gigger than a medium sized dog - about 30lbs |
