I never knew about this until I saw it while downloading a turkey permit last November. In Nebr, vets over age 64 can hunt, fish & trap for a flat $5. I filled out the application, scanned my DD214 & sent a check for the $5... just got the license today! Darn thoughtful of them! I've never been much of a fisherman, but I believe I'll start trolling garage sales for a LH bow of some sort & put a fish arrow rig on it. I stuck a few carp in HS, and that was a lot of fun. I've never trapped & no plans to start but now I can legally sell road kill coons & coyotes that aren't tore up too bad. You need a $200 fur harvest permit to even sell them here. I better get a game laws guide & read up on seasons! SW |

take advantage of everything you can now - you paid your dues back then and got criticized here at home by the commies in the liberal left , its time the returning vets get appreciated for keeping the fight OFF our shores - it could be far different .............. thank you for your service in case no ones mentioned it recently , |

At one time you could get a free license here if you were over 65. Now if you were born before Dec 31, 1937 you get a free license but I only get a reduced cost license. Bunch of cheapskates. Rad |
