The lure array here is meant to resemble a school of squid or some such & is supposedly how you get the big ones. Big what, I'm not sure, but the concept makes sense.

I'll grant you it makes some sense, but if his luck is like mine it either will not attract anything or it will attract something large enough to take the whole getup in one gulp . Kinda think i'd lose that fight

i have fished my whole life - inland waters under various DNRs of the states ive lived in , that is basically illegal in most , you can have one with multiple hooks but unless you are on coastal waters or offshore beyond the jurisdiction that wont be acceptable , bet it works but bet its a mess when you catch ONE

That would give new meaning to the word tangled
Probably would be quite easily lost- one snag, and it'll be gone for sure.
Interesting concept though- imagine all those plastic grubs being bit all at once.
We are limited to two barbless hooks per line here, and sometimes I have trouble controlling a pickerel rig with 2 fish on it

its a deep water set for schooling fish , i think often to imitate shrimp and those icky things that come as giants that were inspirations for mermaids ugly tuber type creatures that i find repulsive , i have seen similar sets -although smaller for inland fish like crappie and blue gill [brim for our southern friends] but there are local laws that often prevent employing these , i remember the crappie rigs of my youth in iowa that are no longer allowed here for sure and probably aren't there either , i always thought them less than sporting for my kind of fishing - if i cannot get them on a single hook - not good enough to eat tonight , ive never- ever - fallen short in the crunch....yet .

i love fishing , im a sportsman , ill trick them on a single hook and enjoy the meal or turn them back for someone else to catch later , ive caught some trophies - i do not hang them on the wall , i return those to the water with no thought except to pass the genes , i like a photo but if alone im content to know just for me , its why i seldom post of my fishing here , life is good ,
