If they are large ones, and fresh(inside white and firm), they are damn good, IMO, although a little bland. A pal eats them raw, sliced up in salad, I cut them very thin, and bread and fry them(mushroom pancakes). A little extra salt or ranch dressing for dipping, and we all like them. :D Think thats bad, how do these look? Image

I was squirrel hunting one time years ago and came across one that was as big as a soccer ball but it was too far gone.

I have to admit it , Don. We had both oysters and puffball last night, and the puffball is the last place finisher of all "choice" mushrooms I have tried. Still good, but maybe not choice, a little weird after taste. Nothing a little sauce can't fix. I will try canning some. The other weird one, appears to be what I think it is, but the expert can't confirm it, so I'll pass on it this year. :( :X

I don't remember what the name was but when I went back and keyed it out properly it was listed as "mildly poisonous".It sure made me "run" from both directions!

I call such conditions "bazooka flew". one does not stand in front of nor behind such a device. The flew being a deliberate mispelling of flu. :lol :lol :lol :lol
