Caught this at sundown at Breezy Point on the Red North of Selkirk.
I don't think this is a channel cat. Note extra long adipose fin. There is also another fin above the back stub. Is this what makes a blue catfish? I have heard of them in this area before, but have not quite believed it until now...

It is 15 or 16 lbs. and speckled red and white. There is not much of a fork in the tail fin. Possibility it's a cross-bred?

Blue is my best guess, but according to a natural habitat map I found online, it's a long way from home. SW

I.D. This fish?...why yes!...thats George mikevly, from Valdosta Georgia, he works at the fishery as a night watchman....... :jmp:

im also saying a blue - not caught a lot of them in my life but ill bet it is , nice fish ,
