I helped my older brother restore a 1950's speed boat he'd picked for next to nothing, and in return had unlimited use of the boat for several summers. it was a beauty once cleaned up, and very fast with only a 55 horse motor.
The cockpit resembled a 1958 Corvette interior, very comfortable with dual sided bucket seats so the rear seat passengers faced to the stern, the seats could be unfolded into two beds.

I had a great time with that old boat.

was it by any chance a larson ? that sounds very much like the ones produced just north of here in a little garage along side the mississippi in little falls , about that time

...may I humbly suggest you name it "Pete's Ark"....or some variation of that...

i envy you , ill not get on the water till mid may , and my boat wont till the end of june - weather permitting

we went out yesterday and had a blast.we had a front come in so the weather wasn't the best.we caught 4 large mouth bass all under sized tossed back,1 alligator gar on my ultra light 6 lb test line that was a hoot.di caught a nice catfish and black drum.












we spent alot of time doing the motor break in by the book.the boat rides excellent even in the chop the V hull is the way to go.water temp was 64.9 yesterday so in a week or two the bass fishing will be better.
