really ? here they are anxious for anyone willing to volunteer - that may be the difference as we here volunteer , it takes an investment of time , and cash to get certified but the DNR here will work hard on your behalf ,

as i said im not certified for that but i have a dozen friends that did get theirs and i assisted as a range officer [i am certified as that] for our hunter safety classes over a couple years ,

its very rewarding to know you are sending young hunters out into the field with a good basic understanding of safe hunting and skills with a firearm ,

mac its only the old geezers(US :lol ) that even know how to use a compass and a map.
just about everyone now uses GPS.I think its cheating ;) .

I'm pretty good with a map and compass but those GPS things are another story. I have broken down and use a NUVI on long road trips but always have the map out and the route marked, I just don't trust the b&%^h telling me to turn left after she has been recalculating for 20 minutes when we are on an interstate and have not turned for hours.

I installed some GPS mods in helicopters but thats about it.don't and won't own one.about the only time I get lost is at wal-mart :lol
