It can really be done, I seen similar live. I also seen my son and an instructor take off, go about 150' and go vertical in a high wing acrobatic aircraft.

I've seen F-4 Phantoms go vertical after dropping napalm (with after burners, of course) but I didn't realize piston pounders could do it, too. SW
