We also try to not get too anal about things. I recently joined a hobby distiller forum for tips on making... **ahem - cough, cough** lens and glasses cleaner. A moderizer got all irate because I didn't use the 'correct' terminology. Apparently when you add yeast to mash, the PROPER word is pitch. I posted how I activated yeast before I 'poured' it in. Serious breach of etiquette, that.

Try experimental mash recipes? Horrors! You MUST use approved recipes!

All of which was a reminder to not be like that here and have a little fun once in a while. SW

i wonder at the nanners - not sayin waste of time , just wonderin on the direction of talent ?

yes we do try to stay civil here - its why i visit every day , that and the longevity i have with all the great people here - cant say enough about the friendship ,

as to correct nomenclature - i understand their point but its all about teachin the new folks , in my enfield case it can mean the difference between a great answer and a bad or not so good one , but then we each have our loves - i know nothing of carcanos and mosins but readily admit it

edit - i do love seeing them and hearing of them tho , its always fun to learn new stuff
