That is a major problem with plastic bags dumped in the ocean. The turtles mistake them for jellyfish, eat them and die from intestinal blockage.

I am not sure if the two critters on the tree are commenting on seeing a Tasmanian devil or someone thought they are tasmanian devils. They look like some kind of primate such as a bush baby or lemur of some type.

The caption I made up has them afraid of a Taz. I'm not sure how mean they really are. SW

Tasmanians can run fast and climb. They can take prey several times their size. I think researchers may have found a way of reducing the number of fatal cases of facial tumor cancers that has been decimating populations.

This is a strange disease. It is a transmissible non viral cancer that is spread by their habit of biting one another and their own cells get into the wounds. These cell produce clones that spread in the infected individual. They don't seem to have immunity to other devil's DNA like in human blood types. Their systems cannot recognize another devil's cells as foreign.

Eagle in the pic above has a nice little walleye- almost big enough for an eater.
First saw this a week or so ago on the manitoba walleye page. I'm hoping this is a local photo.
