The statistics above tell me that if you live in a place where you are more likely to need a CWP, you are less likely to get one.

Just that amazing government of ours in action.

pretty much goes that you carry $2,000 in cash on you at all times, or that you feel your life is threatened for some reason. really depends on the county you live in though if you'll get one...

Many years ago when I was a teenager in high school, I worked in a retail liquor business part time. One of the bosses, Abe, would take the cash remittance of the store to the bank in a brown paper bag. He also would take along a Smith & Wesson round butt Chief's Special revolver in the bag. So far as I know, he never had a concealed weapon permit for it, but that was in 1966 or so, and it wasn't quite as much of an hot-button issue as it is now.

Anyway, one day he came back from the bank with an empty bag, and his brother, Bob, said, "Abie, where's the gun?" To which Abe said, "Huh? Oh, I guess I must have lost it somewhere." They never did find it. If you ask me, there's a good reason to deny an application for CWP.

Yeah, it was a great big honker of a gun. Ya know, the kind that you just put down and forget about... yah, one of them gold plated Desert Eagles in 50AE, you seen it? If not... eh, dont worry about it.

It's just not allowed.
The only people who carry guns here are the police and the army.

And of course, criminals!

My work site would never allow it (Federal Property) plus I'm more of a collector than a shooter so have never have seen the need to pack one along. However, that can all change tomorrow the way the world is going these days...
