Both my wife and I are life members, being that she signed up first, she gets all the solicitation and I don't get squat as far as mail. |

I intend to pay the bucks and become a life member this year. Politics being what they are I reckon we all need to give a little back so we can preserve our hobby/sport. |

The NRA is far from perfect but the way I see it is they are the leading advocate, spokesman and lobbyist for those of us who like guns, in any form. 'Til something better comes along, I'll stick with `em. |

It is surprising, and disappointing to me that 35% of readers in this forum do not belong to the NRA. I certainly do not agree with everything that NRA does, but it is the one pro-gun organization that has significant clout in DC -- and that clout is determined by the number of members. Shame on you who use annoying fund-raising calls as an excuse not to pay dues to NRA! You can simply say no. |

...well, sonny boy, you can just send 'em a check in my name, then...if you feel so strongly about it...your "shame on you..." attitude shows us a lot about you...I DID simply say "No"...after being a member for years... ...they spent a helluva lot more sending me letters and begging than my membership cost...I wouldn't give my sons money if they wasted it like that...their "crisis-of-the-month" club got to be more excitement than I could handle... |
