Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Great rifles the Martini Henry - I have either three or four in .450/577 and one of them I shoot now and again but only loose ammo I have here as my sealed packets I want to keep unopened and they are getting valueable now. I am still shooting large amountsof the foil cases though but now some go 'Fizzzz bang', some go 'pop', some go 'BOOM!', some go 'click.....bang' and some dont go at all. I have never reloaded for these rifles as I have had enough original ammo to keep me going but they are great fun. I also have a 310 cadet Martini but just shot off the last of my loose ammo for it as well though I have several full packets...I know I can used 32-20 in it as they are more or less the same cartridge and can also use the .32-20 relaoding dies to relaod. When I just want to pop off bullets at tin cans I still havemany live rounds for my cadet 297/230 so often shoot it off - I used to shoot off up to a hundred rounds a day with it as I had boxes and boxes of ammo but down tomy last thousand or so loose rounds now and a few full boxes.

Bertram is in Australia - you could get cases from him & hand load. My favorite 577/450 is a Gahendra from Nepal. Very accurate & uses the common .457 bullets.

I have a Francotte Martini I might never shoot - looks like a spiral-welded barrel. SW
