The two pic bit seems to be the rule unless you are part of the administration as they seem to be able to post more pics. I don't know if the settings can be changed or not. If you are doing them from one of the photo sites, either pics or thumbnails you can post a lot more.

...fr8dude is the fella to holler at about the settings for only 2 pics at a time-but he's on a roadtrip right now and wont be back for 1 or 2 weeks....in the mean time may I just suggest to start another post and add 2 more....and then another with 2 more,and then.......we wont complain.........

The limit is set for attachments because they are stored on our server space and tend to become clutter sometimes. When posting using a photo host and the Img button you can post as many as you like. Another thing you may notice when browsing some of the forums is that some people don't do such a great job at resizing their photos and they wind up bigger than the page. Photo host sites most generally provide link that provides a more browser friendly size.

I've got photo sets of most of my guns and most of the sets have six photos. All are the same size as the two I posted. So, I'll accept the unofficial invitation and post 2+2+2 photos when I show off a gun. If I get my hand slapped, then I'll quit doing that.

It pains me to read an old post with photos that are no longer there because the third party site has quit linking them for some reason or other.

The third party site does not quit linking but the original poster deletes the photo from the site is why you no longer see the pic.

It seems that some posts missing photos had a note to the effect that the person had not renewed their subscription to the third party site. For whatever reasons, many old photos are no longer on the posts.
