Lurkeys! I actually remembered to take a camera along this morning. There are always turkeys out here. I didn't take a shotgun since there are still a few leftovers from supper last night. SW
All the buttes on the right side of the road are public hunting - the left side is cattle country.

After we had our short hike, me & dog breath went a mile south & right in the middle o' the road... 20 turks. By the time I drove right up to them, there were still 2 who couldn't figure out how to get through the fence. I was going to let the mutt out, but a cattle truck was coming.

And another half mile down the road... more "special needs lurkeys". Just couldn't find a way through the 4 strand barbed wire fence. I turned the mutt loose, and they suddenly remembered they could fly. Good thing.

A little way past that... nope - not lurkeys - just some do it yerself, self-propelled cheebooger kits.
Dog breath HATES cows. She shakes and growls but is skeered to get out & chase them. I think she's dreaming about them right now - she's sleeping beside me on the couch barking in her sleep... feet twitching like she's running. It's funny.
