Since I whacked my 2 turkeys right away, I had plenty of time to play around with the camera. Quill pig sign. It's not easy to see, but there are shiny branches in the Russian olive tree which is in front od the colorful cottonwood. Saw a lot of sign but no porcupines. lurkeys 010 (853x1280) (682x1024).jpg [ 743.84 KiB | Viewed 4289 times ] I sat under a tree & this cow wandered right up to me like it wanted to mooch my cookies. Ol' #56. I call her "Blackie". ![]() lurkeys 012 (1280x853) (1024x682).jpg [ 423.28 KiB | Viewed 4288 times ] Just a scenery pic of buttes behind cottonwoods. lurkeys 015 (1280x853) (1024x682).jpg [ 638.8 KiB | Viewed 4289 times ] Gnarly old house in the distance with light rain shower behind that. lots of open space around here. lurkeys 018 (1280x853) (1024x682).jpg [ 362.1 KiB | Viewed 4289 times ] Same house from the close up perspective. lurkeys 019 (1280x853) (1024x682).jpg [ 361.09 KiB | Viewed 4289 times ] There are turkeys up the wazoo around here. I got on the brakes so one of these boneheads wouldn't bust my plastic grille. They are everywhere! I can get another permit & 2 more turks, but I'm holding off until Nov or Dec. Talk about not having to hit the gro store so often. Besides the turks, we saw antelope, deer and about 100 grouse right on the road pecking gravel. The down side of living here is a 100 mile drive in any direction to get in serious shopping = Scottsbluff, Nebr - Casper, Wyo or Rapid City, SD. SW |

Mario, let me talk to about a little piece of ground where you could have a 500 yd range and it is only about 45 miles from shopping, that is, Spearfish, SD and Gillette, WY. Rad |
