It's a lazy afternoon at Hoggerville - everyone but me is pounding the pillow so I amused myself playing with the neg scanner. Winter scenes from a long time ago. SW
A real deal sheepherder wagon. I've actually seen scruffy types live in these while looking after large herds of sheep. So were any ewes invited inside after sunset? I flat do NOT want to know!!

Cattle taking what shelter they can ( and it ain't much!) from a rip-snorter of a snowstorm. Blowing snow & colder than Billy H***. I tried different shutter speeds to catch the blowing snow but it didn't work out.

Old wagon in deep snow - same general time frame and still colder than a well digger's hip pockets!

Turks weathering the storm. They're out on the prairie here but mostly they hung around the corrals and pecked turds. I see a couple nice beards - hope they survived til spring!

Stack of elk entlers by an old buckboard. There was a bunch of junk piled on the buckboard & I cropped it out. Yup - still cold!

"Stubble duck" and old Marlin shotgun. I'm sure you sharp-eyed mugs have spotted that it's a hen. Well, it still tasted good! Jobs and $ were tight that winter so me & the gf lived on a lot of wild game & spuds. No food stamps for me - I figured that was for old folks or single moms.
