No scanner here. I used the flat-field micro option on my little 120 I.S.- one of the few options on the camera that focus properly. Most of this work is 30+ years old, and a lot of it was printed on non-archival multi-grade paper- not the best paper for rapid fixer... Theater school production promo photo. The college printer wanted washed-out contrast images for making posters. Ilford Pan F with an early pull from the developer solution. Bronica Sq-A 90mm f-2.8 shot wide open. 1977-78. Glam rock was in it's hey-day then... St. Andrew's on the Red. circa 1978. Low water year for the Red. Another shot of the Red from the same trip as above. Both taken on Tri-X shot at 320. Nikon Ftn with 28mm F-2 Nikkor aboard. Both were printed on Agfa Pearl. A lot has changed in this area. Since it became a national park, the roads got all paved, and the telephone poles dismantled, with the lines run under-ground. Church is still there. Fire bell on an antique Portage La Prairie fire truck. It's a Reo , complete, nothing missing. Truck still see's duty in summer parades. Taken about 1980, Nikon Ftn with 85mm Micro Nikkor. Tri-X shot at 800, and forced with Rodinal. Pretty sure the paper's Kodak Panalure. I think these images would come up a lot cleaner off the inverter scanner, rather than photographing musty old prints. Man, there's a lot to wade through... Regards, Doc Sharptail |
