The weed is riz - I wonder where the hippies is?
Took il Mutt out for a hike this morning. Too much thunder & lightning to suit her & she jumped right back in the truck. Leaving, I noticed the hemp is coming back after being sprayed by the county last year.
I think once you have it, you have it forever. There's a lot more nearby, but this is public hunting & okay to take as many pics as you want without trespassing.
On the way back to town there was a pickup off in a ravine. An old guy ( older than me!) was there wanting to see if anyone was trapped inside. So we climbed down the ravine. I held onto the bumper with one hand and the old guy with the other so he could get his head in the window. He said he couldn't see anybody so we climbed back up to the road.
I called the sheriff's office when I got home & the disp said she'd send somebody right out. I meant to get a pic, but the pickup had been winched out already. There were no skid marks on the road = the driver was snoozing. Drunks will lock up the brakes - eventually but this guy must have really been dreaming.
Must have had the ol' seat belt on, too. Even at low speed, taking a nose dive into that ravine would have put his head through the windshield... after taking a big bite of steering wheel.
If I was him, I'd be looking skyward and offering profuse thanks! SW
