Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Guns and powder horn done by our pal, Kaintuck. And a fine job he did!! :bigrin: Musket is a 28ga ( AKA 54 cal) smoothbore from a kit sold by Sitting Fox. Can't say I recommend the outfit, but it really turned out well! The desired effect was a smoothie some Lakota or Cheyenne might use to park a ball in Mr Buff's spleen while galloping at full speed. Don't think I missed it too far.

Lighting could have been better but I only have so long before my butt's back on a train. SW

If gun supplies ever get regulated too severely, I can find flint on the ground here and chip it into shape with a deer antler. Much easier than trying to make my own fulminates for percussion caps. And safer!

Black powder can also be made out in the garage. Not that I know how. :-o

A flintlock isn't much for fighting - the tomahawk would be better than the musket for that - but you can kill a deer with it. And do your plotting & scheming while toasting a piece of fresh liver over a fire you started using a piece of flint & metal striker.
