Those will keep you warm when it's -8 degrees. Like just a few minutes ago. These honkies were a little nervous but didn't take off when I got out to take the pic.

Got a shot of town from an overpass just as the sun came up. -11 degrees here.

Not on fire - this is the sugar factory where sugar beets are sliced & boiled to remove the sugar. As cold as it was, the boiling water sure made a lot of steam.

Tried to get pics of some deer, but they bounced away leaving no forwarding address. It's still BP season here. Four days off was nice, but it's back to work in just a bit. SW

you keep that negative chit , we are still in the 20s and 30s for highs but froze the beer left in my car from the weekend festivities overnight - was just above zero i think , i gotta buy stronger beer

+20 this morning! Got a few shots south of town.

This is the parking lot where me & il Mutt go for a hike. Snow still way too deep & I didn't feel like shoveling snow.

Wheat stubble is still covered by a foot of snow so pheasants & grouse peck grain on the side of the road where it blew off semis. You would be surprised how much grain blows off. The birds eat pretty much all winter on it.

Sunrise. I was looking for turks, but they are hanging around the ranch house & feed lot now since the snow is too deep to graze in the buttes. All we saw was a few crows & they didn't hang around for a portrait. SW

Oh, the Bengals managed to equal an entire season of Browns football in one quarter. Mario, you have nothing on us Bungal fans. I heard we did manage to throw stuff at Steeler players leaving the field. Ah, the ambiance of playing in Cleveland has moved south it seems. I trust batteries were involved. Sam Wyche is not a well man now.

so now we are below zero - we have been blessed till this week , im not complaining - there is only another month and a half or two of potential below zero - should get better after that ,
