The recent snow storm blew in a gaggle of Ca-nay-juns. Not that anybody minds. When I took little mutt out this morning, there were a lot more people hunting geese than deer.
Only saw 3 guys all decked out in orange, but there must have been a dozen setting goose deeks out in corn stubble.
I think this bunch blew in just last night & are resting up before they go pig out on corn all day. There was a lot of corn raised this year, so I figure we'll have more geese than you can shake a stick at until spring.
I don't hunt ducks or geese anymore, but a friend will bring me one when I get the craving. Every couple of years a nice fat roast mallard sounds good.
Among the Ca-nay-juns are a few sky carp snows. SW
