Lol Hogger! I think the mulies are still in spike stage this early in the game, but you never know Those look pretty realistic- far more so than the plastic silhouette style the local dnr uses to regularly catch road and night hunters and poachers... Do you have Purple Martins there? Martin motel in the last pic on the fence post looks kinda low, but probably 100% workable on a scant tree line like that. Regards, Doc Sharptail |

That's a birdhouse Game & Parks sets out for mountain bluebirds. There's a nest box like that every 50 yards or so & most are occupied. I like to see them flying around early in the morning - very colorful. I forgot until later the state has 6' very realistic dinosaur targets at the archery portion of the nearby range. Had I been stumbling along & looked up to spy an allosaurus 50 yards ahead, I fresh set of underwear would have been required! I was also hoping had it been a real bull that baby bloodhound didn't see or smell it. Big bulls like that back down from nothing & I only had my Charter 32 long revolver for rattlesnakes. But everything worked out all right & I didn't feel like a total dum bass like I would have if I'd put the sneek on the target to get up close & personal pics. SW |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple_martin It's been a while since I've seen a purple martin bird house. There was one in almost every third yard here when I was kid, and purple martin houses were a wood shop project for a lot of us in jr. high. Don't see many now, but there's still quite a few in rural areas... Regards, Doc Sharptail |
