For hiking I use a refurbed Canon powershot pocket size I scored on a cyber Monday sale a few years ago. Much handier than the full size Canon... which has much better glass. But life is a continuing series of trade offs. SW |

im still using my original digital - the one that i bought back when i first started posting photos , i think its a nikon coolpix but ive not looked at it for this reason lately ,mostly to check the batteries , i just know it takes great photos its in the car and follows me everywhere but i don't get those great opportunities , when i retire ....maybe ill get a dog and do as you do in the mornings , it looks so relaxing , i kinda miss my old nikon - it had the multiple lenses with lots of options but the film got hard to find and get developed , there was something to be said for the surprise when you got the photos back and i miss my old B&W darkroom equipment , a lot of the results you could control , i dont miss the long nights in the darkroom so much but it was fun back then , when i had a darkroom ...and the energy ....and time ??? really did i spend that many hours in that room - yup i did once upon a lifetime ago , it was fun |
