Are the round objects that look like rocks debris from crater impact? SW |

...the round objects are also craters themselves.....separate from the initial impact....Clavius (the big worn looking one with craters on its floor and rim) is aprox. 150 miles in diameter-and old (hence the worn look)....any debris thrown out by its formation would likely be much further away....the others are 'newer ' smaller craters that have been pounding it and the surrounding region....eventually obliterating the older ones...(think of WW1 fields that have been pulverized by thousands of artillery shells and what their craters look like in those fields)....any of those would also create their own secondary craters from debris they threw out... |

I'm envious, my viewing has been so bad this year I haven't even gotten the scope out. |
