Nice pics. I used to have them in Michigan but a fox took up residence and they moved out or became dinner. |

had some in the yard today - is it possible to have a young one among them this time of year or was one just really small and scruffy looking ? neighbors cat thought to have a go at him - no joy there for the cat and my wife has sworn to kill that cat first opportunity arises , she really hates that cat , it lurks about under our bushes liking for baby bunnys and songbirds - just kills and leaves them about , i cannot say i blame her here but the cat belongs to my neighbors daughter and i wish they would keep it home , |

Grouse here seem to be on a 7-9 year cycle. Still haven't seen the numbers I was seeing in the late 80's/ early 90's. It was nice seeing the Sharptails making a come-back last fall. This coming season may be the top of the cycle, and I plan to do as much hunting as I can. Regards, Doc Sharptail |

for what its worth , i choose to work seven days a week these days between my real job and my gun club job , i would love to sleep in on sunday but that aint happinin , i need to have breakfast with my friends and there is always the major shoots or some other thing going on , i think it is what we retired folks do , im nearing 70 and been retired but chose to go back among the living , im not sayin anything bad to those that have adapted - i couldn't , im having the lost nights sleep and other BS of working by choice now , its not all bad {OK some of it is} but a year or so more wont kill me - or maybe it will , im good with that , if thats what happens , im still living every day among the living , when i tried the early retirement [forced upon me] i missed it too much , i look forward to getting to the point when i can retire with no regrets , i know its getting close , im thinking a year or two , by that time technology will have surpassed my entire education and experience , hard to accept but it is what it is , i am no computer genius , im lucky they let me learn on the job where i am today , |
