Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Location: On the couch a lot now that I'm retired

Coming back from our morning hike and turkey scouting expedition, I noticed a lot of white on a field. Not snow - it's mostly gone... snow geese! Those were too far away for a pic, but I saw some on a local frog pond hanging out with a bunch of Canadians that just blew in ahead of the colder weather we're getting tomorrow.

We usually don't see snow geese around here. SW

We been frozen up good here for the better part of a week.
Rifle deer (road hunter) season is a week old with one more to go...

Snow's are on the upswing of their 7 year cycle. Canadian honkers appear to be on a 100 year cycle

A LOT of honkies went native and stay here year around now. Saw a few lesser Ca-nay-juns, too this morning; Like mallards with white cheeks!

I know a guy who really goes after snows. I'll see if he'll set me aside a couple that aren't shot to heck. SW

Took Flop Ears for our morning hike & she had a great time. Got to sniff a pile of deer organs where somebody cleaned one right in the parking lot - got to howl at deer right in the road. Which I wouldn't have seen had I a gun & license. And even howled at more snow geese.

A bunch more blew in & have been enjoying corn harvest.
