The Zorki 6 caught my attention so I looked for more or the brand. It could be a collector's category by itself, and not terribly expensive. No word on lens quality yet. Last of the series was the Zorki 11 - a very basic looking camera.

Some of the Zorki series were fortunate enough to get east German glass~
some of which was actually very good.

Up until the Zorki 4 , all were almost perfectly reverse engineered Leica.
Some well informed sources debate that the 3 was the last of the "loaned" design.

A quick look over the later versions show some with the Jupiter glass mark -again,
a very well performing optical system.

The cold war stuff is not often seen around here.
Even the Meyer lenses command a bit of a premium, which makes little practical sense to me.
There is tons of used japan glass around that outperforms it by a hefty margin~ at much more affordable prices.

I like the "press row" in Berlin pic with the army vehicles.
Of interest is the 500-C Blad near the row end at right.
Probably '69-'70-ish I think.
There are a couple of Leica in the pile with the reflex range finder housings on the long telephoto's.
Enough Nikon F there to sink a light cruiser.
There's one there with a familiar looking 200 f4 on it- not quite a/i series, but well above "Q".
Can't tell what the TLR is in the photog's hands on the ladder.
Given the location. likely a Rolleiflex of some variant...

Our only magazine stand folded up so I couldn't grab a Shutterbug to look for current prices. But I see camera collecting is alive and well. (In places other than Winnipeg )

An article claimed one of the best places to look for used cameras is a second hand or Goodwill shop. I can believe that.

This lot was supposedly bought at flea markets.

Then there's the die hard photographer... how much kit is too much? And if I'm using big, expensive lenses, or five figure camera/lens combos, I'd try to protect them from being banged around.

Voltage on her Metz CT-45 is a little high for those digital Canon's and Nikon's.
That's a lot to lug around in most of those photo's.
I have been getting the majority of my deals at Salvation Army thrift stores.
The last one from a camera shop was reasonable for what it is.
It does pay to watch the local on-line buy & sell pages.
That is where I have obtained most of my top of the line film stuff, and the D-200...

O.K. I think I'm o.k. now.

#1 Edit: Pentacon Six 6 X 6 at right. Must have had the little Bessaflex on the brain~ which is a actually a tiny 6 x 6 folding camera.

Late run chrome Nikon F at center rear.
Already adapted for M/D 3.

Looks like a Praktica TL 1000 at image left- it's got the right shape at the top of the pentaprism for it...

#2 looks just like one of the Smena's above....

First pic looks like a late Contax r/f.
The second is a well published photo that originally appeared in National Geographic, and is dated 1929. Camera is an early Kodak folder that looks modified to take an air bulb type shutter release.

Sixth has the same Nikon body as mine- a D-200.
Frame counter stays on even with the camera turned off.
Looks like Canadian cash in there with the Carlsberg refreshment cans.

I doubt it. We've seen this before with a fake tiny nikon.
Probably a 3-d printed mock-up yet again with the lens shopped in...
Or the whole works is photo-shopped composition.
With that much magnification on a sensor that small, there's no way for it to be used without a tripod.

back in the day i would have loved access - let alone owning some of that equipment , having it today would be a waste 0 i dont have the time you have in the feild , whovere said retirement allowed you to indulge in your lifes passions lied - there is less time in this age than there was before , best enjoy life when your young , im too old to have that opportunity these days and i dont have the time

#1 is a CMOS sensor Nikon.
Not sure it's a D-700 with the filter over the sensor.
Might be a D-7000.

#2 is Ringo Starr with an early Hasselblad 500 CM.
Lens collar lever made it a lot easier to focus the big CZJ lens, especially on a tripod.

#3 is another 'blad~ not sure it's a CM though. The hood suggests fairly recent manufacture.
Cute kittens sell stuff...

Recon camera looks like it's got a roll-film back on it of some kind.
Finder looks like a good one with what appears to be a parallax correction pin.

Last looks an awful lot like a D-750. It is a Nikon with the red stripe under the shutter release.
